I find the latest news in the battle between 321 Studios and Hollywood most agreeable, disappointingly so.

See, I use DVDXCopy to back up my DVDs, works great, but I have to admit, I'm not a huge fan of their extra warning message at the begining, or the idea that every DVD I make is uniquely tagged back to me.

Now that the court is forcing them to pull the ripper out of DVDXCopy, 321 Studios has said they will take out the signature and the extra-warning. Add in the convience of being able to put the ripping process more under my control, while still using their handy vob/ifo redirection menus, and I'm sad to say I'm down for the change.

We'll see how it all works out in the end though, could be an idle threat...
