Sometimes you find out something, something that changes your whole history, because it places the past in a perspective you'd never concieved. It's all a sign of how emotionally immature I've been at parts of my life, so self-centric in my viewpoints. It's not that I discounted the feelings of others, so much as I didn't recognize the limitations of my empathy.

Maybe my life isn't as empty and pointless as I usually think.
