Yesterday, I wandered about north seattle checking out storm damage, and trying to find some place with power, to eat. Only on the ride home did I find out that if I'd walked another 5 blocks down lake city, instead of turning off and heading uphill, there was power.

My power came on around midnight last night, many businesses in the area didn't get power till this morning, including the grocery store. They were open, but several areas were blocked off while staff went thru and threw away the thawed items. The amount of food destroyed in Seattle today would stagger the mind of many, I think.
