It's funny how one can forget something about one's own life. I'm sitting here, OC'ing over JXL's Elvis remix, drumming one handed, and wondering why I do that, and it dawns on me. Duh. It's from when I broke my left arm, back in junior high, and played drums in band until it healed, and ended up deciding I liked drums more than flute. Which really pissed my parents off, so they refused to let me own a drum. Drum sticks, OK, but no actual drum to play them on. I used to beat the crap out of our concrete floor instead (I was using hard mallets).
