ARGH!

I have to wonder at the sanity of management types that ask you for an estimate, then ignore it completely and say silly things like,

"If you are going to slip from our revised schedule, I need to you tell me how you are going to make it up."

As if by fiat, one can rearrange reality.

As if, by ignoring the people you've hired to do a job for you, when they warn you that what you want means sacrifices in terms of quality/usability/etc, you won't have to make those sacrifices.
