So, I found the RAM. Turns out I did put it somewhere safe, and eventually I did remember where that safe place was. woo.

Now it looks like the hard-drive I was going to use in the box is bad. XP setup gets to 100% on the formatting (takin frickin f'erever), then pops up a message saying the HD is off or something and it can't install there.
