For some reason, I thought about how josh had mentioned his dad worked on the soundtrack for Valley Girl, so I check it out, and sure enough, a man with a likely name is on there. Moving on to allmusic, I find he's a still-active singer/songwriter, and josh (whom his dad describes as a computer whiz...) actually made an album with him, did some touring, etc.

Very nice to hear that things came together for him more than when I was around. Maybe someday I'll try and check out their show.
